When disaster strikes, as it did in the late summer and fall of 2017, we are called to take action to help those in need. We galvanized over 25 local businesses, government agencies, schools and businesses to collect supplies and resources for those affected by the devastating storms.
As a community, we were able to send a 52 foot-trailer with over 30,000 pounds of supplies to those impacted by Hurricane Irma in Florida. Additionally, we sent supplies and financial support to Puerto Rico to aid in rebuilding after Hurricane Maria’s devastation. With funds donated to this cause, we also sent a team of volunteers to Florida in April of 2018 to help repair homes that were still in disarray.
Disasters will happen. We are prepared with a plan for disaster relief and a network of local organizations ready to respond quickly to our neighbors in need.
